Story Planner for Writers App Reviews

This app has very interesting capacities, but there is a big saving issue. I lost parts of my work several times. Please correct this, and id happy really happy to use your app.

It helps me collecting ideas, when Im travelling. An export to PDF would be a nice extension.

... I could not found how to delete a Project. To delete is essential.

This is still an ease of use app. And Ive figured out that the Scrivener and Final Draft aspects, are Project based, as a whole, exported, which suits me fine. While the individual sections, Character, Location, Scenes etc can be exported as txt or rtf, which suits me fine as well. The Icon is fixed in the latest update. Very nice! Now I just need an Object list, similar to Locations and Characters, but for weapons and or other items, handheld, wearable, or vehicles etc. And it would be great if we can add our own categories to be filled in. Example: For Characters: Name, Age, Role in Story etc, Id like to add my own set of categories, such as in the physical description section Id want it separated by body piece, Eyes: Colour? Number of? Glasses? Hair: Length, Colour, Style/Cut. Basically able to customize whats important to me. Same for Locations, the ability to add more detail, through customizable options would allow me, to describe a building in full, like say Castle In the Sky, Where Found on Map; floats above so and so, exterior. Then Castle in the Sky Interior, Kitchen, Dungeon, or Throne Room. Describe lighting, windows if any, seating arrangements. But then there are the Macro Locations, on a Galactic,Empire,Planetary/Realm scale etc.

This is a cute looking toy, but its not functional in any way that matters.

I love this app for a few reasons. Its hard to find a free app that backs up your work automatically to the cloud. I have a very scattered 77 page draft and this app is helping me fill in my holes and create a well rounded, efficient , piece of writing. I only wish there was a desktop version so I could write on my phone when Im on the go and refine on my computer at home.

This app does exactly what it states and does it well. Its very easy to plan out characters, locations, and scenes. It even allows you to organize by act and chapter. The UI is simple, clean, and easy to write in. Backing up and importing with iCloud is easy and fast. 5/5 I have no complaints about this app so far.

After update this apps dont work on ipad 2. I check it in my iphone 5s the same. Author Please fix it!

Great app! It lets to write very accurately every details you think on the moment, everywhere you are. I suggest to add the option to add image to represent the characters, then it would be awesome

I love the look, feel, and easy use. Please add dropbox and/or icloud support. I would love to be able to go write on my ipad or computer and have this handy. Who knows you could turn this in to a full on writing app like storyist with sync and export to pages. The look is so new and easy to use.

I enjoyed plotting with this app. I was sad to discover it doesnt sync to the app on my phone so I was unable to jot something down on the go. This would be a 4-5 star app if it synced via icloud from ipad to iphone

I wish I could delete some stuff and organize my locations and people myself instead of it being alphabetical or based on when you last touched it. Also, Id like it if Id be able to type without having to worry about the length. Expandable text boxes would save me a lot of frustration when reviewing my characters and such! A really great app otherwise; it gets the job done! But it could still be improved!

Story planner is a joy to use. I had already completed a novel or at least I thought I had until I began using Story Planner. I discovered that I was missing some key elements in the story. I am now on the right track. I enjoy writing this story now more than ever.

Overall, this seems to be the type of app that I am looking for together ideas for books that I am writing for. However, since I am a visual learner, I often like pairing photos and visual inspiration to said ideas. I would really like the ability to attach a photo or multiple photos to the characters, locations and acts that are tied to what Im writing. That would be a big plus!

This is the app Ive been looking for since iPhones came out. I agree with other reviews - it needs a place to attach photos (or maybe links?) and syncing with Dropbox or google drive would be incredible! Thanks!

I just bought this app today and so far it’s wonderful. Under the “Scene" tab, I’d love an option to view the complete information on each "Scene card,” especially the “Description,” of all the Acts on one scrollable page, instead of a snippet of it showing until you click each Act individually. An option to add images would be a bonus.
